I just finished installing Knoppix on a Sony Vaio (pcv-rz26G), and i have full 3d acceleration via nvidia drivers, and out of the box firewire worked perfectly (after some insmods). I have a dazzle DV bridge on this thing and kino/dvgrab see it perfectly.
nice work to both parties.
