#3630, "dropped frames"

I am capturing onto Kino from firewire DV and everything is ok for a while until suddenly I get a bunch of dropped frames. Recently, I had captured about ten minutes of video then suddenly Kino stated that 15 frames had been dropped. Is there any way to rectify this?
